The distance for your entered number of steps is calculated based on your estimated or custom step length.
Your **step length** is automatically estimated using a common formula (height * 0.415 for males, height * 0.413 for females) if “Auto-calculate” is selected. For more accuracy, you can measure your actual step length and use the “Custom” option.
**Calorie burn** estimations are derived using a Metabolic Equivalent of Task (MET) value associated with your selected speed and your body weight. Higher MET values indicate more intense activity, leading to higher calorie expenditure.
Keep in mind that calorie burn rates can vary significantly based on individual metabolism, terrain, and other factors.
The **time taken** and **steps per minute** calculations are based on the total distance and the average speed you’ve selected. The “Minutes for 1km” (or 1 mile) gives you an insight into your pace.
Always remember these are **estimations**. For precise measurements, consider using dedicated fitness trackers or consulting with a fitness professional.
