Understanding Your Pregnancy Dates:
This calculator estimates key dates in your pregnancy based on the method you select.
Last Menstrual Period (LMP) Method: The standard method, assuming pregnancy lasts 280 days (40 weeks) from the first day of your last period. Conception is estimated to occur around 14 days after your LMP, though this can vary with cycle length.
Estimated Due Date (EDD) Method: If you already have an estimated due date (e.g., from an early ultrasound), this method works backward to estimate your conception date and LMP. Pregnancy duration is typically 280 days from LMP or 266 days from conception.
IVF Transfer Method: This is a more precise method for pregnancies resulting from In Vitro Fertilization. The due date is calculated by adding a specific number of days to your embryo transfer date, depending on the embryo’s age (3-day or 5-day).
These calculations provide estimates. Actual dates can vary. For the most accurate dating, always consult with your healthcare provider, especially with early ultrasounds.
